Content Marketing Specialist

About You

You’ve been working for a year or two (likely as a content marketer, social media marketer, marketing coordinator, or copywriter) - and you’re looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic agency team where you can sharpen your skills and learn from experienced colleagues. Your enthusiasm for content marketing, social media, and email is infectious. Your elementary school teachers told your parents that you ‘work well with others.’ You bring lots of ideas and recommendations - but never your ego. You work hard and communicate clearly. You’re a big picture thinker, but you’re detailed and organized when it comes to proofing your work, managing all the small details, and keeping a content calendar up to date. You’re curious about data and challenge yourself to keep improving the ROI generated from your work. 

About the Role

This is an early/mid-level position with opportunity to grow. You’ll work on creating and executing content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing plans as well as some research, copywriting, and editing/proofreading. Taking direction from the creative director and senior team members, you’ll collaborate and make recommendations in the planning stages with increasing responsibility. You’ll conduct formal and informal research to build stronger strategies. You’ll dig into marketing metrics and make recommendations to improve our work. You’ll prepare clean and compelling copy and help edit and proofread others’ work as needed. You’ll be organized and creative as you follow our well-developed (and always evolving) internal processes. Our Content Marketing Specialist is an integral member of Metric’s creative team, and you’ll do your part in developing work that gets noticed—and gets results.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning and strategy for content marketing, social media, and email marketing projects - for both Metric and our clients

  • Conduct formal and informal research including analysis of social and email metrics

  • Develop content for a wide variety of mediums including social media captions, blog posts, websites, digital ads, search copy, and more

  • Edit and proofread copy for yourself and others

  • Collaborate with teams, initiate ideas, and take direction

Skills/Experience

  1. Completed a relevant post-secondary program such as Creative Communications, Social Media Marketing, Business Administration

  2. 1-2  years of relevant experience

  3. Experience using social media platforms including Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat in a professional setting

  4. Experience using marketing measurement and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social

  5. Experience using email marketing platforms such as MailChimp

  6. Experience using market research tools such as Survey Monkey

  7. Experience using the Google suite of products (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
