Marketing Strategist

We’re seeking a talented and versatile Marketing Strategist to join our team – someone who can connect human-centric creativity with data-driven strategy to create engaging, innovative, and impactful work for our clients.
Education & Experience:
- Proven Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a related marketing, communications, or strategy role. Previous experience in a marketing/advertising agency or a similarly fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Strategic & Creative Core: Must have experience in marketing strategy (brand/campaign), creative concept development, and copywriting/editing for digital platforms. Experience in social media strategy, email and SMS marketing, market research, or the private school/education industry is a significant asset.
- Education: A diploma or degree in a related field is preferred.
- Technical Proficiencies: Basic spreadsheet skills, presentation layout, and digital communication skills are required. Experience developing ad copy & concepts for a wide range of digital platforms (i.e. Google, Meta, TikTok) – and the ability to use past performance to optimize new creative – is a must.
Key Job Duties & Outcomes:
- Strategic Storytelling: Develop expert campaign strategies, including audience personas, competitive scans, and positioning recommendations that drive conversions at every step.
- Concept & Collaboration: Collaborate to develop creative campaign concepts, working closely with graphic designers, copywriters, and digital strategists to bring those ideas to life.
- Expert Copywriting: Write and/or edit clear, compelling, and on-brand ad copy for various digital platforms, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Insights & Research: Conduct market research, interviews, and focus groups to find the “big ideas” and actionable insights that solve our clients’ challenges.
- Client Representation: Act as a key client-facing consultant, presenting strategic work and creative concepts with confidence and professionalism.
- Continuous Learning: Jump into learning Metric’s specialized deliverables, processes, and private school niche – and keep growing and sharing the knowledge. Stay on top of emerging tech and ad trends, and recommend applications for our work and our clients.
